Job Description

SUBJECT: Air Force Reserve AGR Vacancy Announcement 15-1133EA; Closeout Date: 12 AUG 15
1. A requirement exists for a qualified member to serve a 3-year tour of active duty as an AF Reserve AGR (Active Guard Reserve) in the AFSC and rank indicated below. Applicants must possess the AFSC, skill level or one skill level below and must hold the rank or one rank below to qualify as a candidate.
AFR AGR applicants must have 30 months’ time on station (TOS) if PCSing by the position availability date. If they are less than 30 months TOS, a snowflake and TOS waiver approved through the member’s wing commander or equivalent is required to be submitted with the AGR application package prior to the close out date.
Air Reserve Technicians (ART) selected for an AGR assignment will have his/her Mandatory Separation Date (MSD)/High Year Tenure (HYT) adjusted to that of a traditional reservist/IMA.

2. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Perform extensive ground inspections, functional check flights and acceptance check flights of non-airworthy C-130 aircraft to determine system functionality following major program depot maintenance (PDM) or modification. Oversees and administers aircrew training for aircraft systems and functional check flight certification. Perform Test and Evaluation flights for the flight test unit assigned to Hill AFB. Provides assistance to Technical and Safety Review Boards for Developmental and Qualification Test & Evaluation (D/QT&E) test plans. Represents AFMC and Ogden Air Logistics Complex (OO-ALC) at flight manual reviews and technical conferences. Coordinates C-130 operational and technical issues with AFMC agencies and MAJCOMs. Performs other duties as assigned by the C-130 Operations Officer.
3. QUALIFICATIONS: Current and qualified C-130 Flight Engineer required. Instructor qualification highly desired. FCF/ACF experience highly desired. Extensive C-130 systems knowledge essential. PME commensurate with rank is mandatory. An in-person interview will be required for this position.
