Job Description: The AC Shop A&P Mechanic provides aircraft maintenance to deliver quality and value to a diverse set of aviation customers.

 

Job Responsibilities: 

• Perform Routine and Non-routine maintenance on pneumatic, hydraulic, and electrical systems and associated components
• Fabricate replacement plumbing, pneumatic, hydraulic, and electrical components needed to support all aircraft models
• Test, inspect, and/or build numerous environmental specific components and assemblies
• Disassemble, clean, identify, and inspect aircraft components/parts
• Frequently perform fiberglass and sheet metal repairs
• Other duties as assigned

 

Job Requirements:

• A&P Certificate
• 1 – 3 years of experience with an aviation setting
• Previous experience working with R-12 and R-134a refrigerants is highly preferred
• Successful candidate will need to acquire their EPA 608 and 609 license within a year of starting in the shop
• Applicant must possess high attention to detail
• Strong work ethic with a desire to learn
• Ability to comprehend written and verbal directions or procedures
• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Ability to:
  • Crawl in and out of tight spaces
  • Comfortably work in confined areas in a kneeling or crouched position for extended periods of time
  • Lift, balance and carry 50 lbs.
  • Work in enclosed hangars and exterior weather conditions
  • Work in close proximity to other people
