Full-Time Contract Instructor Pilot
The F-35 Pilot and Maintenance Training System provides the total training solution for the F-35 weapon system. LM is the developer of the F-35 Training System (TS). The training includes pilot and maintainer training, support equipment repair training, and user training for the air system logistics information system. The TS includes training devices, courseware, and sustainment infrastructure, and the tools to execute daily training operations and modifications/upgrades to the TS.
To support the TS needs a Global Mobility Training Team (GMTT) is being developed to as a temporary, on-demand resource to assist initial standup of capability for permanent Training Center positions and CONUS/OCONUS operational bases. BGI has been asked to provide GMTT instructors who will deploy for as little as 1-2 weeks to as long as several months to meet the training requirements for their area of expertise. In addition to deployments to stand up a training site, the GMTT will be designed to facilitate a virtual training capability if requested by the customer, particularly for advanced/mastery level and technical refresh training.
Initial training will be conducted in the CONUS Training Centers to take advantage of classrooms, training devices, and instructor expertise to provide initial training in accordance with the F-35 Enterprise Operating Instructions. Once completed, the trained instructors will return to customer facilities where an initial stand up GMTT team will provide OJT on the on-site equipment as well as advanced training for additional simulator seasoning and academic instructor qualification as needed.
