Position Summary
The F-35 Pilot and Maintenance Training System provides the total training solution for the F-35 weapon system. LM is the developer of the F-35 Training System (TS). The training includes pilot and maintainer training, support equipment repair training, and user training for the air system logistics information system. The TS includes training devices, courseware, and sustainment infrastructure, and the tools to execute daily training operations and modifications/upgrades to the TS.
To support the TS needs a Global Mobility Training Team (GMTT) is being developed to as a temporary, on-demand resource to assist initial standup of capability for permanent Training Center positions and CONUS/OCONUS operational bases. BGI has been asked to provide GMTT instructors who will deploy for as little as 1-2 weeks to as long as several months to meet the training requirements for their area of expertise. In addition to deployments to stand up a training site, the GMTT will be designed to facilitate a virtual training capability if requested by the customer, particularly for advanced/mastery level and technical refresh training.
Initial training will be conducted in the CONUS Training Centers to take advantage of classrooms, training devices, and instructor expertise to provide initial training in accordance with the F-35 Enterprise Operating Instructions. Once completed, the trained instructors will return to customer facilities where an initial stand up GMTT team will provide OJT on the on-site equipment as well as advanced training for additional simulator seasoning and academic instructor qualification as needed.

As required to meet in country dates listed below. Location is Eglin AFB, FL. Training duration of 180 days
Feb 19 to Apr 19 – Cheongju AB, ROK
May 19 to Jul 19 – Cheongju AB, ROK
Job Responsibilities:
Conduct quality academic instruction that covers applicable formal course syllabi and instruction guide requirements
Conduct quality aircrew training device instruction, accomplish applicable syllabus and mission guide requirements, and adhere to published wing standards
Maintain weapons system expertise
Prepare classrooms or briefing rooms for instruction before the scheduled lesson or aircrew training device mission
Clean-up classrooms or briefing rooms, returning them to the pre-class or pre-mission condition
Evaluate and record student academic training, aircrew training device performance, and verbally debrief all errors committed
Conduct remedial student academic or aircrew training device instruction when required
Coordinate recommended corrective action and remedial training with the Lead Instructor and active duty supervisors
Conduct student academic evaluations IAW applicable syllabi and correct to 100% by reviewing incorrect responses with students
Monitor courseware currency in applicable academic and trainer areas of responsibility and submit recommended revisions to the Lead Instructor
Support lesson plan and mission guide revision efforts
Support aircrew training device scenario design and programming efforts when directed by the Lead Instructor
Review test analysis and critique summaries to identify instruction and testing that requires revision and make recommended revisions
Coordinate lesson revision inputs with the Lead Instructor, other CIPs, and Courseware subcontractors, if required
Review monthly/quarterly flying literature, safety reports and Service publications for updated information to be incorporated into training materials
Participate in Safety Investigation Board (SIB), Accident Investigation Board (AIB), and Flying Evaluation Board (FEB) proceedings as directed by the Training Operations Manager
Perform related additional duties as assigned by the Site Director or applicable manager
Meet suspense dates for applicable new lessons and lesson revisions
Be available for student assistance, questions, and “sandbag” missions when not scheduled for formal academic instruction, aircrew training device instruction, or courseware development and revisions.
Provide Special Weapons and Tactics Training (SWATT) when scheduled (when on contract)
Conduct Instrument Refresher Course instruction (if qualified and on contract)
Qualifications:
Education, Credential Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education, with 14 years or more of professional experience; or 12 years of professional experience with a related Master’s degree.
Experience:
Formal Training Unit (FTU), Replacement Squadron (FRS), or Operational Instructor Pilot (IP) experience (required)
Candidate must have a minimum of 1500 hours Fighter Flight Time in fourth and/or fifth generation fighter aircraft (desired)
Considered an expert, authority in discipline
Special Knowledge and Skills:
Final-Adjudicated Personnel Clearance Level (PCL) of SECRET or higher, with an Investigation in the last (5) years, is required to obtain a SAP-F clearance.
