Avionics Engineering Technician

Location: Bridgewater, Virginia

 

Job Description:

This role will perform a variety of tasks in the electrical side of designing, constructing, and testing schematic designs and repairs of aircraft systems to meet customer expectations.

Job Responsibilities:                                            

  • Coordinating with electrical engineers and DER’s, to create avionics and electrical schematics for modifications and repairs for Company and customer aircraft
  • Prepare schematic design drawings and data in accordance to Company standards; as well as OEM and customer specifications
  • Adhere to FAA, customer, and company regulations in project design
  • Coordinate with other engineers, managers, DER’s and customers to insure timely project completion
  • Prepare drafting documents through design of aircraft electrical and avionics systems
  • Effectively communicate with co-workers and customers to ensure a quality product is delivered
  • Formulate drawings of aeronautical/electrical products or systems to meet customer requirements
  • Effectively coordinate activities with engineering or technical personnel designing, fabricating, modifying, or testing of aircraft products
  • Other  duties as assigned

 

Job Requirements:

  • AAS, AA in or equivalent work experience in a technical discipline
  • Experience in avionics and electrical installations and troubleshooting
  • Electrical schematic design experience preferred
  • Some knowledge of FAA guidelines
  • Ability to work in a team environment
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills
  • AutoCAD Electrical Design experience
