Full-Time Fleet Technical Instructor – 787
Job Description
Overview
Fleet Technical Instructors conduct the training referenced below for pilots assigned to fly Company aircraft utilizing flight simulators or other training devices and in a classroom environment.
Responsibilities
Flight Training Instructors duties include but are not limited to:
- Aircraft systems training
- Normal non-normal, security and emergency procedures training
- Flight procedures training as necessary to support the instruction of systems
- Aircraft performance and aerodynamic training
- Conduct and remediate the System Validation, in accordance with the Advanced Qualification program (AQP) document
- Participate in the training of new and existing FTI’s
A Fleet Technical Instructor may also be assigned to participate in the formulation, development and review of pilot in training course ware, and other subject matter as a Subject Matter Expert (SME).
Education
- College degree or a minimum of 4 years equivalent work experience required
Knowledge/Skills
- Must have excellent communication skills required
- Knowledge of flight and navigation procedures preferred
Experience
- Must have experience in classroom and small group instruction required
- Experience instructing aircraft systems required
- Procedures in flight training device/simulator preferred
- Experience with transport category aircraft systems/performance and normal procedures preferred
- Experience with B737, B747, B756, B777 or B787 aircraft systems preferred
- Experience with computer based training preferred
- Must have 4 or more years Civilian or Military Aviation experience required
Other
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States for any employer without sponsorship
- Successful completion of interview required to meet job qualification
- Reliable, punctual attendance is an essential function of the position
