The 161st Air Refueling Wing is currently accepting Rated Pilot applications for a January Board. Hiring is selective but extra considerations will be given to current and qualified KC-135 pilots. Applicants should have ties to the area and be willing to deploy up to 60 days every 2 years.
Preferred qualifications:
Experienced KC-135 Instructor/Evaluator Pilots and Aircraft Commanders are preferred, although, we are accepting applications from non-KC-135 pilots as well. Other DOD services are welcome to apply but waivers are becoming challenging and Air Force rated pilots will be given ultimate priority. Unfortunately Army applicants with no MILITARY fixed wing experience are not able to but can apply for an Undergraduate Pilot Slot (UPT) at a later date.
Prerequisites:
No UCMJ Actions, DWI/DUI, or a history of drug/substance abuse
Last military flight was no more than 36 months ago
Rated Pilot Application Package Requirements:
Cover Letter or short Bio
Resume
Copy of Last 3 OPR’s
Copy of USAF Flying Class 1 Physical
Three Letters of Recommendation (1 must be from current CC or supervisor)
USAF RIP or equivalent Form 8 or other service component equivalent
Copy of PFT results
Extra information
The applications are due by January 5, 2019 and interviews will be held January 6, 2019. If you would like to come out during other drill weekends you MUST pre arrange your visit.
