trained/experienced pilots.
Job Description

The Maintenance Test Pilot (MTP) will be part of a Contractor Field Team of Aviation Field and
Sustainment Level Maintenance on rotary wing aircraft in support of twenty (20) MH-60, and
thirty-six (36) MH-47 series MDS rotary wing aircraft distributed at two primary bases. This
requirement involves repair, maintenance, modification and overhaul of aircraft. The Contractor
Field Team shall develop specific written Flight Operations Procedures (FOPs) and Ground
Operations Procedures (GOPs) for all flight/ground operations, as well as aviation specific LOIs
as required. The services shall be performed in support of the USASOAC forces at Joint Base
Lewis-McChord, WA (JBLM), and Hunter Army Airfield, Savannah, GA, as well as on a
temporary basis at currently undefined CONUS locations in support of the USASOAC. MTPs
will comply with Government maintenance records, forms, publications and comply with the
requests of the USASOAC Quality Assurance Representative (QAR). The Contractor Field
Team shall provide a full scope Aviation Field Maintenance program and will be measured to
ensure on time completion of task to maximize availability of aircraft. MTPs shall be aircraft
qualified and shall perform aircrew duties IAW applicable -10 manuals, USASOAC Aircrew
Training Manuals, in support of Maintenance Test Flights, Functional Test Flights, Evaluation
Flights, Currency Flights, Ground Runs for related requirements requiring operation of the
aircraft systems, as approved by the Government Flight Representative. Work is subject to
performance on weekends and holidays, days and nights as required. Normal business hours
are 0730 – to 2300 hours Monday through Friday. At no time shall night aided or un-aided
maintenance test flights be conducted.

Aviation Prerequisites

MTP shall be proficiency in flying operations of the assigned rotary Helicopter
MTP as a non-USASOAC rated Aviator meeting prerequisites will be subject to the
additional USASOAC training
Annual Flight Evaluations conducted by both an Instructor Pilot and Maintenance Test
Flight Evaluator, qualified in Mission, Type, and Design Series and will ensure that all
Aircrew Training Manual tasks required for assigned flight duties are accomplished
MTP shall possess an instrument rating on their FAA commercial certificate
MTP shall meet the qualifications requirements of DCMA INST 8210.1, and the
USASOAC ATM
MTP shall have successfully completed US Army Maintenance Officers Course (AMOC)
Phase I/II and shall have flown a minimum of 50 flight hours performing MTP duties in
the assigned aircraft.
MTP shall pass initial and maintain currency IAW USASOAC and 160th Regimental
Tactical Operation Procedures the Naval Class II Swim test, Dunker, and Emergency
Breathing System (EBS) Device.

 Must be at least 21 years of age
 Must be a US Citizen
 Must possess a current passport
 Must possess a valid state drivers license
 Must read, write, speak and understand English
 Must possess an FAA Class II Medical Certificate
 Must hold an active Department of Defense security clearance at the SECRET level, orhigher
