Legacy Non-A&P Mechanic

Location: Bridgewater, Virginia

Job Description:

The Legacy Non-A&P Mechanic role provides maintenance in a variety of areas to deliver quality and value to a diverse set of customers.  This position supports the maintenance and restoration of Legacy aircraft. 

Job Responsibilities:                                            

• Follow directions and remain on task
• Disassemble and clean aircraft components/parts
• Provide touch-up painting on components as needed
• Maintain shop floor/environment free from clutter or debris
• Lubricate aircraft components
• Follow basic maintenance instructions provided by supervisor
• Assist A&P mechanics with phase inspections on flight controls and landing gear
• Other duties as assigned

Job Requirements:

• Technical aptitude
• High school education required, come college preferred
• Written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to perform basic math calculations
• Must provide own tools (tool listings to be provided)
• Basic mechanical activities performed is desired
• Some aviation knowledge and acclimation is preferred
• Ability to:
  • Crawl in and out of tight spaces
  • Comfortably work at elevated heights of at least 40 feet for extended periods of time
  • Lift, balance and carry 50lbs.
  • Work in enclosed hangars and exterior weather conditions
  • Work in close proximity to other people
