Job Description
The 161st Air Refueling Wing is currently accepting Rated Pilot applications for an October Board. Hiring is selective but extra considerations will be given to current and qualified KC-135 pilots. Applicants should have ties to the area and be willing to deploy up to 60 days every 2 years.
Preferred qualifications:
Experienced KC-135 Instructor/Evaluator Pilots and Aircraft Commanders are preferred, although, we are accepting applications from non-KC-135 pilots as well. Other DOD services are welcome to apply but waivers are becoming challenging and Air Force rated pilots will be given ultimate priority. Unfortunately Army applicants with no MILITARY fixed wing experience are not able to but can apply for an Undergraduate Pilot Slot (UPT) at a later date.
How to Apply
Rated Pilot Application Package Requirements: Cover Letter or short Bio, Resume, Copy of Last 3 OPR’s, Copy of USAF Flying Class 1 Physical, Minimum Two Letters of Recommendation (1 must be from current CC or supervisor), USAF RIP (Report on Individual Personnel) or equivalent, Form 8 or other service component equivalent, Copy of PFT (Physical Fitness Test) results. Extra information The applications are due by September 6th and a meet and greet will be held September 7th on our Saturday UTA (drill weekend). Attendance is highly encouraged.
