Job Description

Position Summary

BGI is seeking a motivated person with experience as a Wing and/or unit level scheduler in support of the EC-130/A-10 CAT/CWD contract award at Davis-Monthan AFB, AZ

Job Responsibilities

  • Directs the academic and device training schedules of five separate A-10C command directed formal course training syllabi
  • A-10C FTU schedulers develop, coordinate, publish, and distribute scheduling products and are responsible for long range, mid range, short range and daily flow of A-10C academic and FTU flying schedules
  • Coordinates requirements IAW the various syllabi and continuation training needs of each squadron
  • Prepares, coordinates, and transmits FTU schedule/inputs to the TRS scheduler as required
  • Produces flying shells 2 weeks in advance for the groups’ ranges, and other required military/contractor agencies
  • Produces a flying schedule using projected resources 1 week in advance
  • Manages day-to-day FTU flying schedule events based on changing instructor and student availability and progression
  • Coordinates with the TRS scheduler to ensure proper sequencing of the syllabus flow and de-confliction of training events
  •  Coordinates with maintenance, ranges and other squadrons/wings to get the proper airspace and configurations on the aircraft required for the flights
  •  Coordinates with TRS and OSS schedulers to ensure prerequisites are met for each training event to include flights, training devices, and academics
  • Updates flying hour/sortie spreadsheets, transmits to TRS and OSS schedulers and reconciles program data monthly, or as required by the wing, operations group, or squadron
  • Compiles, calculates, and posts the FTU sorties/hours scheduled vs. actual flown
  •  Produces weekly slideshow and presents at the weekly scheduling meeting
  • Writes, publishes and revises FTU continuity books
  • Operates facsimile machines and computers, and prepares e-mail to accomplish tasks using common government software in support of the FTU schedules
  • Performs all other associated administrative tasks in the performance of the FTU scheduling duties

REQUIRED AND/OR PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Air Force scheduling or flying experience within the past 3 years
  • Working knowledge of current computer programs such as Patriot Excalibur, Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point, Access and Outlook
  • Capable of securing a SECRET personnel security clearance
