Traditional Reservist OTS/UPT & Rated C5M Super Galaxy Pilot
The 68th Airlift Squadron is proud to announce that it is accepting OTS/JSUPT and Rated Pilot application packets. This is an opportunity to apply and become part of a squadron with a proud history. Qualified applicants must be willing to relocate to San Antonio, have all the required documents listed below, have a great positive attitude, the tenacity to never give up, and always willing to push the mission while making it fun. Rated Pilot Applicants
Experienced C5 Instructor/Evaluator Pilots and Aircraft Commanders are preferred. We are accepting applications from non-C5 pilots as well, to include other Major Weapons Systems and other service components. Ties to Texas are greatly preferred. A clean PFT record is also preferred.
No UCMJ Actions, DWI/DUI, or a history of drug/substance abuse
Last military flight was no more than 36 months ago
Rated Pilot Application Package Requirements:
Copy of Last 3 OPR’s
Copy of USAF Flying Class 1 Physical
Three Letters of Recommendation (1 must be from current CC or supervisor)
USAF RIP or equivalent Form 8 or other service component equivalent
Copy of PFT results
SUPT Pilot Applicants
Civilian candidates & Non-Rated military members must be less than 30 years old when entering Specialized Undergraduate Pilot Training (SUPT). Applicants must be 28 years of age or younger to apply. The 68AS is not processing age waivers at this time.
Less than 5 years of prior military commissioned service prior to UPT start date
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college.
Minimum of a FAA Private Pilot License.
Successful completion of a background check required for a secret clearance.
No UCMJ actions, DWI/DUI, or a history of drug or substance abuse.
Be able to pass the Air Force Physical Fitness Test prior to in-processing for OTS.

8×10 Color Photo Official College Transcripts showing Bachelor’s Degree earned
Air Force Officers Qualifying Test Scores (AFOQT)
Pilot Candidate Minimum Scores: Pilot-25 (90 and above is competitive), Navigator-10, Verbal-15, Quantitative-10 Pilot
Candidate Selection Method Scores (PCSM) (90 and above is competitive)
Copy of all FAA Pilot Licenses
Copy of Driver License
Copy of the last page of an applicant’s flight logbook
Copy FAA Medical Certificate (Class three or higher)
Completed AF Forms 24, 56, 215 and 2030
Four Letters of Recommendation (Military members must have NCOIC and/or CC letters)
Copy of all DD214s for current or former military members
Copy of all Enlisted Performance Reports and/or Officer Performance Reports for current and former military members
