Long description:Serves as Chief, Airlift, Weapon System Safety, Headquarters Air Mobility Command (AMC), manages the command’s Airlift flight safety programs and is an expert on flight safety issues. Plans, organizes, directs and evaluates the activities necessary to the overall management of comprehensive Aviation Safety programs for all areas of a MAJCOM engaged in very complex activities, which critically affect a major military readiness program. Reviews complex health and safety plans/programs and develops and issues instructions and procedures establishing technical and administrative safety and occupational health requirements which frequently become official MAJCOM policy and may impact a wide range of agency safety activities. Develops and manages the aviation Safety inspection program. Additionally, responsible to manage the AMC Bird/Wildlife Aircraft Strike Hazard (BASH) and Midair Collision Avoidance (MACA) program, and analysis of mishap trends.
