Additionally, this position provides managerial oversight authority as a higher headquarters for eight Air Support Operations Squadrons (ASOS) located throughout the nation. Member will be required to attain Combat Mission Ready status as an Air Liaison Officer and will be world-wide deployable. The ASOG also has a state mission to provide support to civil authorities for disaster relief, public safety, search and rescue, and civil defense.

EXPERIENCE EVALUATION
Element I - Knowledge and experience in collaborating with external agencies to include NGB/A3, ACC/A3, WA ANG HQ, 194 RSW HQ, and 194th ASOG supported units internal and external to the WA ANG : Applicants who meet the minimum requirements for consideration will be further rated and ranked on their experience related to the “Job Elements” stated below. These elements are considered essential for successful performance in the position.
Element II – Experience with the Financial management Board process, Facilities Utilization Board, and other Group and Wing Staff management functions
Element III – Knowledge of the Theater Air Control System (TACS) and the Army Air Ground System (AAGS), and how ASOS and ASOC type units integrate into both.
Element IV - Demonstrated skill interfacing with Air Force and Joint personnel at the staff officer level.
Element V– Knowledge and skill in administrative duties to include review of performance appraisals, awards and decorations, and various Commander’s Support Staff functions
Element VI – Ability to perform and direct Group-level staffing functions and program development tasks that will affect TACP and ASOC units nationwide.
Element VII – Ability to expertly communicate, both verbally and in writing with personnel and operations officials at all levels. Ability to lead a group of subordinates toward a common objectives and a demonstrated capacity to manage resources.


Other Requirements: Previous ASOS/ASOC experience is highly desired. Detachment Commander experience is highly desired. Air Liaison Officer experience is highly desired.


SELECTION CRITERIA
a. Should be able to complete 20 years active Federal service prior to age 60. If member will not be able to complete 20 years prior to age 60, the member must complete statement of understanding. :
b. Must meet the physical qualifications outlined in AFI 48-123 and be worldwide qualified for ANG membership (Reference APPLICATION PROCEDURES #a4).
c. Must possess or be able to obtain a Secret security clearance.
d. Must meet ANG fitness standards IAW ANGI 10-248 as of the closing of this announcement.
e. Applicants must not be receiving or eligible to receive an immediate Federal retirement annuity, (Military or Civilian).
f. Military grade cannot exceed the maximum military grade authorized. A member who is overgrade must indicate, in writing, a willingness to be administratively reduced in grade when assigned.
g. AFSC Requirement: As a minimum, applicant must possess AFSC: 11XXX , 12XXX, 13BXX, or 16GXX
h. Grade Requirement: Applicant must currently be in grade of Major or Lt Col

5) Copy of current AF Form 422 or printout of AF Form 422a . a replacement.
6) Upon selection, you will be required to provide the following additional medical documentation: Current physical/PHA; HIV test within the last six months; pregnancy test for females; specific AFSC eligibility requirements as required.
7) Copy of all DD Form(s) 214, NGB Forms 22, and any other official documentation to verify any active duty service.
8) For ANG and USAFR members: include Point Credit Summary from the Virtual MPF.
9) Fitness Result Assessment sheet with a passing score within 12 months of the announcement closing date.

This position will be filled under the provisions of Title 32, Section 502(f), United States Code. Selected applicant(s) will be ordered to active duty for one (1) to six (6) years. This is a career position. Members may apply for tour renewal at the end of each and any subsequent follow-on tour. Enlistment/Appointment in the Washington Air National Guard is a prerequisite for entry into the AGR program. Continued membership in the Washington ANG is a condition for retention in the AGR program.
Potential for promotion in the position is conditional upon assignment to the appropriate UMD grade, compliance with ANGI 36-101 grade comparability requirements and, if applicable, the availability of an AGR control grade. Selection for the position at a higher grade does not automatically constitute the immediate availability of an AGR control grade required for promotion to the higher grade
