| Long description: | A requirement exists for a qualified member to serve a 4-year tour of active duty as an AF Reserve AGR (Active Guard Reserve) in the AFSC and rank indicated below. Applicants must possess the AFSC, skill level or one skill level below and must hold the rank or one rank below to qualify as a candidate. Applicants with less than 24 months time on station from their last PCS will be considered on a case-by-case basis based on the needs of the Air Force Reserve.
2. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: The position will serve as an In-Flight Refueling Operator at the unit with the responsibility for functional acceptance and test and evaluation flight of KC-135 aircraft after programmed depot maintenance, factory delivery, and/or modification supporting the AFRC flight test unit assigned to Lackland AFB TX (Kelly USA). Performs in-flight refueling aircrew position duties. Checks forms for equipment status. Performs visual and operational check of air refueling and associated systems and equipment. Performs pre-flight, thru-flight, and post-flight inspections. Accomplishes pre-flight and post-flight records and reports. Performs in-flight operational check of air refueling systems. Operates in-flight refueling controls and switches to perform functional/acceptance flight check of air refueling systems. Performs emergency operations and procedures as required. Computes and completes aircraft weight and balance documentation. Inspects, operates, and troubleshoots in-flight refueling systems; and instructing passengers in the use of emergency equipment and procedures. Performs other duties as assigned by 313 FLTF\\\\CC.
3. QUALIFICATIONS: Applicants must be C-135 qualified and in hold AFSC 1A071. Must have experience in directing functions pertaining to in-flight refueling activities. Knowledge is mandatory of: electrical and mechanical principles applying to aircraft and related systems; flight theory; aircraft electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems applying to in-flight refueling systems; navigation procedures, including chart reading; normal and emergency operation of aircraft refueling systems; weight and balance factors; cargo tie-down techniques; cargo compartment configurations; minor in-flight maintenance; using survival equipment and oxygen; communication procedures; aircraft emergency procedures; border agency clearance; interpreting and using diagrams, loading charts, publications, and flight manuals. Applicants must have a minimum of 1,000 total flying hours and 200 KC-135 basic design hours. Must be in the grade/skill level of the position, or be one grade lower. FCF/ACF experience is desired. PME completion commensurate with current grade. Must be able to obtain a Top Secret security clearance. Unit Interview required.
