| Long description: | Avionics Technician
The Avionics Technician provides installation, troubleshooting and maintenance of all electronic systems on company aircraft. Some of the key responsibilities include installing new electronic equipment with A&P supervision, basic soldering, wire stripping and crimping, fault isolation of electronic system failures, and performing scheduled maintenance on airborne communication, navigation and other electronic components to meet FAA guidelines.
Minimum requirements include vocational development or on-the-job training of electronics theory and troubleshooting on aviation systems and/or related systems on other types of vehicles, 2-4 years of demonstrated experience in the fault isolation and repair of electronic systems and devices, and the ability to read, write and perform basic math calculations. A high school diploma, A&P certification and some college are preferred.
