Position Summary

The Simulator Technicians report directly to the Lead Simulator Technician and are responsible for conducting technical analysis of product implementations, modifications and enhancements to F-35 Pilot and Maintainer Training Devices in accordance with specific customer specifications and implementations.

Period of Performance:

• Training Class: NAS LeMoore, CA or Eglin AFB, FL. Start June – July 2019. 180 consecutive days.
• Work Location: MCAS Miramar. Start based on training class completion date. Duration 2-5 years.

Job Responsibilities

• Troubleshoots technical problems and issues with the training devices,
• Determines technical solution in accordance with product and customer specifications and recommend actions to company or customer representatives for coordinative product solution,
• Conducts technical training and product briefing with customers, vendors and company representatives,
• Readies training devices for customer use and assists with mission specific preparations,
• Acts as local on-site representative to customer’s organization,
• Maintain DoD 8570 Level IAT-II certification.

Required and/or Preferred Qualifications (education, experience, licenses, skills)

Education, Credential Requirements:

• Associates degree from an accredited college or equivalent experience/combined education, with professional experience and specialized training commensurate with assignment.
• Must have excellent diagnostic, network and Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol (DHCP), operating system, hardware & firmware skills and knowledge.

Security Clearances:

• Must be a US citizen.
• Final-Adjudicated Personnel Clearance Level (PCL) of SECRET or higher, with an Investigation in the last (6) years and had access within the last 24 months, is required to obtain a SAP-F clearance.
